When you are handling powerful building and remodeling supplies, you need top-notch eye and lung defense. A full face respirator offers you a superior shield against noxious fumes, debris or vapors stirred up during construction. Often, half masks may be sufficient for small renovation jobs, but then there are those large projects that require increased safety precautions. Our 3M masks are highly respected and approved by NOISH (National Organization of Safety and Hazard). They are even able to withstand certain types of chemical warfare and are sure to protect you during your renovations.
Caring for Your 3M Masks
Respirators are cost-efficient because you can use them over and over, only needing to replace the filters and vapor cartridges on occasion. It is important to keep your 3M masks clean and debris-free to ensure their continued functionality. After extensive use, it is advisable to wash your mask thoroughly.
To clean your full face respirator, first remove the filter and cartridge. Use warm water and a mild soap to wash off the grime that has accumulated on the outside of the mask. Rinse it well with water and dry carefully. Then examine the filter and cartridge. If you have used your mask for a long period of time or have been exposed to strong chemicals, extreme temperatures or humidity, it may be time to switch your filter and cartridge. The Tub Company sells replacements and can keep your gear in tip-top shape. To learn more about respirator face masks, read the following article.
